VACANCY: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PARTNER
The role of the Business Development Partner
We are looking for a Business Development Partner to help accelerate growth. We are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in sales, an entrepreneurial approach and strong networks across the Benelux industry community.
Supported by the Axisto Project Delivery Team, you will help build the profile and reputation of Axisto by identifying performance improvement initiatives, covering both short- and longer-term transformational delivery. You will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is Axisto: a business savvy, people- and solution-focused business entrepreneur who is determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
Key responsibilities
- Generating business development activity, including identifying opportunities, developing successful pitches, and selling both the initial “diagnostic” project phase and the subsequent implementation work
- Building a strong Axisto market presence and keeping Axisto on the radar of C-level executives
- Developing a marketing and sales savviness in the Performance Improvement Delivery Team
Requirements for this position
The successful candidate will have a proven business development track record in organisational change and transformational programmes, preferably at C-suite level.
Essential requirements:
- Successful business development experience (ideally in a client-site focused delivery model) with a leading operations specialist and/or niche advisory firm
- A persuasive and effective communicator and stakeholder manager who can engage effectively with leadership teams
- Holistic thinking capability with a quick grasp of complex operational and financial problems
- An understanding of operational KPIs, balance score cards, and reporting/review processes
- Recent, relevant experience in international operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, purchasing and logistics
- In tune with latest thinking on Operations Excellence and Industry 4.0 concepts
- Good financial acumen
- Fluency (both verbal and written) to a business level in both Dutch and English
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (minimum qualification)
Desirable requirements:
- Additional European languages (highly desirable)
- International experience in Europe (highly desirable)
- A varied, cross-sector background including automotive, manufacturing, chemicals, consumer goods, transport and business services
- C-Suite experience (preferable)

This role will have a particular focus on the Benelux region.
Supported by the Axisto Delivery Team, you will help build the profile and reputation of Axisto by identifying performance improvement initiatives, covering both short- and longer-term transformational delivery. You will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is Axisto: a business savvy, people- and solution-focused business entrepreneur who is determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
Key responsibilities
- Managing rapid diagnostics through analytical and qualitative insight to identify opportunities to transform an organisation’s current performance
- Subsequent implementation of the opportunities through development and execution of a transformation plan to deliver measurable operational and financial performance improvement
- Evaluating both cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities
- Working with clients’ leadership teams through the full spectrum of complex issues that arise in operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics and purchasing
- Contributing strongly to business development activity, including developing successful pitches and selling work, including the initial “diagnostic” project phase and the subsequent conversion into implementation work
- Leading and managing teams across multiple workstreams and disciplines to drive a consolidated transformation for clients
- Developing and implementing a new operating plan to improve the client’s business operational performance
Requirements for this position
The successful candidate will be an expert in the design and delivery of organisational change and transformational programmes, preferably at C-suite and board level. The Business Transformation Partner will be responsible for generating business development and proactive client relationship management.
Essential requirements:
- Extensive experience in delivering performance improvement services (ideally in a client-site focused delivery model) with a leading operations specialist and/or niche advisory firm
- Relevant, up-to-date experience in international operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, purchasing and logistics
- A recent track record of successfully leading teams and delivering major transformational assignments, with a proven record of achieving agreed benefits
- Experience of operational KPIs, balance score cards and reporting/review processes to ensure continuous improvement of a company’s operational performance
- An understanding of and ability to execute LEAN production philosophy
- Ability to lead holistic performance improvement projects, with an understanding of the different kinds of Project Management Office (PMO) tools and change management methodologies and policies – e.g., tool kits, communication strategies, coaching
- An ability and willingness to travel to client sites across the Benelux as part of the working week
- Clear determination to deliver the latest thinking in Operations Excellence and Industry 4.0
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct a deep-dive analysis
- Excellent financial and business-modelling skills, with the ability to conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company’s cash needs, product profitability, cost base and major operational issues
- Experienced in resolving complex operational and financial problems including implementing cost reductions and operational improvements
